The single-minded pursuit of wealth often leads smart people to do incredibly stupid things - like destroying the things money can't buy.
True. If they ever discover a pill to prolong life indefinitely is not going to be a BUYER. I could not stand seeing the same obvious mistakes by each successive generation refusing to learn from history or motivated purely by greed.
Smart but not wise.

You're right, Lindsay. There's a world of difference between the two. One huge problem I've read about and considered often is the fact that materialists have the upper hand. Bernardo Kastrup is a philosopher whose work I've been interested in for quite a while. I have a feeling you might enjoy having a link to his webpage too. As we already know in our hearts - all is not as it appears to be. The question is then - What is it?
