We
travelled down to Barwon Heads on Monday and stayed overnight to enjoy an engaging and wonderful luncheon
with former work mates and spouses. The weather was sunny and lots of people enjoyed the beach. The final photo shows a side view of where we had lunch.
Barwon Heads is a delightful
coastal township on the Bellarine Peninsula, close to Geelong, and less than 2 hours’
drive from where we live. It is located on the west bank of the mouth of the
Barwon River below Lake Connewarre, while it is bounded to the west by
farmland, golf courses and the ephemeral saline wetland Murtnaghurt Lagoon.
