I can hardly believe this! Kathleen, Coline and I were there a month ago. The weather hasn't change a bit from the looks of it. Dreich, and truly beautiful! Heheh
We mostly stayed around Fife, doing searches for genealogy, but we did a big circle from Dundee north to Aberdeen, then Elgin, Culloden, then down to Fort William and back. So much fun. How long have you been in Scotland, and where else have you been?
Hi Halle, We have been in Scotland since the 19th August. We only passed through Dundee.Yesterday, from Inverness, we headed for Ullapool and after passing through turned left to Achiltibuie to be confronted by a sinlgle track route with passing places enroute to our digs at the Summer Isles hotel. Along the way we passed amazing mountain, Lock and harbour views. Archiltibuie is a crofting hamlet whose people were not evicted during the darker period of Highland history and retains much of the character of former times. Maybe that was the occupation of your ancestors.? Best wishes
