Ntandire Church/Hall takes shape from within

The Ntandire commmunity has made great progress by installing seating and glass in all of the windows. They have also purchased more land and erected outside toilets. In their discussions they have proposed the name of the church to be ‘Our Lady Help of Christians’ which will coincide with the name of our parish.

Their hope is to invite the Bishop to bless the Church next year 2009.

What a great thing to see these photos every few months. And to see the fruits of hard work, cooperation... and love. Good on you all!

you know Lindsay, whenever you post anything re. anything relating to your faith in any which indirect manner, I'm reminded that there truly are Christians who practice what they preach and practice love and really helping out others.. here in the US where religion has become politicized and vica versa..it's easy to become dismissive of the whole 'thing'.. you and your lovely wife are the salt of the earth..you give me hope with that you know..

hugs

Interesting project, simple and jet very adequate. It must be satisfying to have followed and shepperd the progress.
By the way Lindsay, is this building also used for multiple functions between religious services?

Hi Sera, Gary, Susan, Nicla, Ingrid, Rachael & Zee
Many thank for your thoughts and kind words.
Zee - It will be the focal point for the community and used as a hall for a variety of purposes.

Best wishes
