Yes, we have adpated from a nationalistic to a multi-cultural society. Great post. Have a great week! :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16539850495318868267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9716997.post-56068116077772552352009-04-20T04:50:00.000+10:002009-04-20T04:50:00.000+10:00My childhood in Canada was not that dissimilar to ...My childhood in Canada was not that dissimilar to yours and I think we're both happy products of our early experiences. I often feel sorry for children today so many of whom aren't allowed to just space out and enjoy creation in all its forms whether enjoying nature as it is or making inclusive mutual fantasy worlds.

When I went to England in 1965 I soon learned about an Australian program to entice young unmarried women to your country. An ocean voyage was available for a very nominal sum with stops along the African coast, Bali, NZ before arriving in Sydney. The problem was that one had to agree to stay for 2 years or else be billed the full cost of the round trip journey. I decided Europe was already far enough away from home but I was tempted. I always wanted to see a koala bear.susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16747450215034568033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9716997.post-61259460826540578982009-04-19T17:45:00.000+10:002009-04-19T17:45:00.000+10:00there is always the option to not grow up, which a...there is always the option to not grow up, which a fair contingent of people never do.
it sounds like you had a wonderful childhood, lindsay. and judging from your blog, your adult life (while presumeably not as care-free owing to adult responsibility) has been just as blessed.Seraphinehttp://encoreseraphine.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9716997.post-57719115218014809482009-04-19T01:57:00.000+10:002009-04-19T01:57:00.000+10:00Wonderful post, Lindsay.
